Toyota Angler of the Year leader Brent Chapman has three in the livewell for more than six pounds. And he’s caught five little ones that didn’t make the cut. The length limit at Oahe is 12 inches.
This is Chapman’s 257th Bassmaster tournament. In that time he has made a check (top 50 approximately) 161 times, he has 36 Top 10’s, four first-place finishes, and has made 13 Bassmaster Classics. Oh, and by the way, he was the 2012 AOY champion. All told his career winnings stand at $1,845,886.
Chapman lives in Lake Quivira, Kansas with his wife Bobbi and kids Mason and Makayla. The whole family travels often to Elite tournaments, camping in an RV. And as you can see from the photo, he’s a hunter as well. You can read more about that turkey in this excellent story by Steve Bowman.
