Feider: “Shade and birds, man”

Seth Feider got fired up after landing his big bass of the day, a 3 1/2-pounder at 9:35. It put him among the early leaders with a 5-bass limit weighing 11-8. He’s been throwing a white swim jig all morning, steadily catching fish. It’s where he’s throwing it that he believes to be crucial. He summed it up by saying, “Shade and birds, man, shade and birds.”

Feider entered this tournament leading the Angler of the Year race, but just barely. After Lake Fork, Feider had 436 AOY points, and Patrick Walters was close behind with 432.
