Feider headed south

As per the game plan, Seth Feider is leaving his starting point to let it rest for tomorrow.

“I think we’re outta here,” he said, after making a 2 1/4-pound cull with a 3 1/2 pounder.

“I’m going to go to the lower end and catch some big ones, real big ones.”

That pattern is a mystery until Feider arrives at this next destination. Until now, Feider fished the upper end—where the grass is most dense—where he quickly filled out a limit and began culling.

What’s also interesting is the variety of techniques in play. Feider is flipping and pitching a jig into grass, and other top anglers are cranking. Others are flipping lily pad fields with Texas-rigged plastics.
