Earlier this morning Russ Lane put on a show. He caught four good
looking bass in short order. The first being a 5 pounder. We're
guessing he has 14 pounds in his livewell. That likely puts him inside
the 50 cut already.
There's a crowd here now, with 24 spectator boats watching Lane, KVD
and Jeff Kriet fish. I just hoped in the boat with one of them, Trey
Evans, and took a little tour around to shoot some GoPro photos. Trey
showed me images of this part of the lake on his Humminbird unit. Now
I can see why the pros are focused on this area. There's an old dam
underwater here, about 8 feet tall that the guys are fishing around.
