Greg DiPalma has already caught 11 bass and his best five weigh 21-10. He added his biggest bass of the day – a 5-7 – at 7:39. DiPalma has one chance to qualify for the Bassmaster Classic this week, and that’s to win this tournament. He came into it ranked 73rd in the AOY standings.
The second-year Elite Series angler from Millville, N.J., qualified for the Classic last year as a rookie.
