The one-hour delay this morning will certainly make a huge difference in how this tournament will eventually play out.
Several guys were planning to make the monster run from Georgetown to the Cooper River. Those making that run would likely only get about 3 or 4 hours of fishing on a clear and calm day.
The wind is close to howling at 20 which would likely cut into that overall fishing time. Add in gusts that are promised to be between 30 and 40 miles per hour and you have a miserable existence for most of the day.
Now with a 1-hour delay, it’s likely many of those guys, who are sitting in their trucks sitting and thinking, will probably chose not to go.
That will probably put even more anglers in the areas on the Georgetown side of things. Of course some of these guys may still decide to go. If they do and it works then they stand to be way ahead at the end of the day. These are the things racing through the heads of these anglers as the rain pours down and lightening pops overhead.
