Crispy start

With temps in the high 30s, it’s brisk. A big change from yesterday to more seasonal temps. Justin Lucas made a 15 minute run down river from Knoxville to start his day in the mouth of the Little River.

While he was running the first stretch of bank, Chris Lane showed up and offered to leave it to Lucas. Classy.

Lucas declined and continued deeper into the Little River looking for his first bass of the day.

He started Day 2 in fourth place—a great place to be, especially when considering the already tough fishing will likely only get tougher from here on.

He’s no stranger to this kind of pressure, however, and I expect a strong showing for the 2018 Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year.

More to come, stay tuned.
