There were six anglers with over 20 pounds today at 1 p.m. John Cox joined the club at 12:54 with a 6-pound, 7-ounce skinny bass, which had the head of an 8-pounder. But Cox isn’t complaining. As he just shared on Bassmaster LIVE, he’s been having fun with topwater baits, first a Berkley Cane Walker and now a frog in shallow vegetation.
Cox is coming off an eighth-place finish at Lake Chickamauga, which moved him up to 25th in the Bassmaster Angler of the Year rankings entering this event.
