There are parts of this day that are a welcome break from the norm. The same parts aren't exactly comfortable either.
It's August and somewhere in the upper 50 degrees. For those of us used to 100 degree August days this is a slight shock to the system.
I've not had this many clothes on since the Classic and it was snowing then. The nice thing is the wind is not blowing so this could wind up being the most comfortable day of the season.
Currently we are sitting in St. Clair watching all these boats head off in different directions. With about 1/3 of the field through the idle zone and to us, a third of them are obviously headed toward Erie. About 10 percent look to be headed to Huron and the rest are filtering around St. Clair.
