To say Drew Cook has had an impressive morning would be an understatement. We have no information on how he’s catching them, but he’s got five bass in his livewells that weigh between 5-4 and 6-8 for an unofficial BassTrakk total of 29-6. Cook is a noted sight-fisherman, so the assumption is that’s how he’s catching them.
Several anglers have noted how they’re seeing more bass on spawning beds today than they did in the last day of practice. The warming trend that is expected to continue through the weekend may allow the Santee Cooper Lakes to really show off. Cook is definitely showing off this morning. Having almost 30 pounds with nothing topping 7 pounds is quite an accomplishment.
