Cicadas providing the soundtrack

Cicadas come out every 13 years and this is one of those years in this part of Tennessee. These noisy little creatures are providing the soundtrack for BASSfest. We're 100 yards offshore and can hear them singing. They'll have a four-week lifespan, and then they won't be heard from again for more than a decade.
