Jason Christie took very little to start putting fish in the boat. In the first few minutes of his arrival, he’s boated two keepers. Both in the 3 to 3 1/2 pound range it appears.
Neither are the kind of fish he needs to make a run at Palaniuk. At least we think that’s the case.
The interesting thing about this AOY battle is you have Palaniuk, who seems to have an innate ability to catch smallmouth just about any where coupled with talent to find winning fish.
Christie on the other hand has that same talent, but with sneaky, ninja-like skill set in knowing how to put things away, knock out an opponent and walk away with the cash.
Meanwhile, Christie has added a third. I’m a long way away from him. But I estimate he has about 8 pounds in the box.
