This morning we’ve heard bells ringing as we covered Britt Myers and
Chris Zaldain fish the Cooper River. That’s not a knock out punch just
yet from anyone in the Top 12. Our driver, Mike Phipps tells us the
bell music is coming from Mepkin Abbey which is located about a
quarter mile from us. We can see the rooftops poking through big live
oaks. The Abbey is a Trappest monastery near Moncks Corner, S.C. So
even if we can’t be in a formal church this morning, we’re sitting out
in the middle of one of God’s beautiful creations, covering a tight
Elite tournament, and listening to bells from a monastery. Hard to
beat!
