Daisuke Aoki moved from his morning area, sooner than expected. He’s now inside Dallas Bay and directly across from Chester Frost Park.
Recently, I shot a video with Buddy Gross at the park, and he pointed out the very offshore hump being fished by Aoki. Gross described the spot as a classic staging area, along a spawning migration route leading to flats in the back of the creek.
Aoki is staying with his wacky rig, power finesse program. His latest catch has him in the BassTrakk lead with 9-8 as of 10:15 a.m. ET, with an overall weight of 49-12.
