The big story, literally, on Day 3 was the 6-pound, 11-ounce bass caught by Clifford Pirch. Combined with the fact that three-day leader Justin Lucas totaled “only” 12-15 Saturday instead of his previous two-day, 20-pound average, it gives some anglers hope that Lucas could be overtaken today.
