While you watch the 2026 Bassmaster Classic either in person or online, you may notice some unique and colorful windshields being run by Skeeter/Yamaha pros. While they look cool, they really mean so much more. These windshields were drawn by children at St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
This all began when St. Jude reached out to Skeeter/Yamaha to help start a new partner in hope initiative called Love Bass, Stop Cancer, to increase their presence in the bass fishing world. This program is kicking off at the Classic to raise awareness and continue to raise money for the kids. This goes along with the ever-growing Dick Hiley St. Jude Bass Classic tournament held on the Mississippi River in Wabasha, Minnesota, which just this last year raised $1.17 million to help kids in need. Since the start of that event in 1999, it has raised a total of $8.7 million.

The creative windshields are another way the fishing community can come together and support the kids at St. Jude’s. The 14 Skeeter/Yamaha pros are repping these windshields on the water at the Classic and afterward can donate to St. Jube to keep it, or they will be auctioned off for the fans. There are also a couple of windshields that every Classic contender signed that will be up for auction, with all proceeds going to St. Jude.
Skeeter Marketing Manager Chris Brown is very passionate about St. Jude and is honored to be able to help promote the Love Bass, Stop Cancer program. “I’ve been to St. Jude and toured the facility,” said Brown. “I’m very blessed. My kids are 18 and 21, and we’ve not had any issues, cancer, or sickness. Not everyone is that way, and it breaks my heart to see a kid hurting in any way. We all firmly believe in St. Jude and in doing everything we can to help them.”

Skeeter/Yamaha will have a display at their booth to check out the program and the signed windshields, and have an opportunity to donate and make a real difference. You could even put in a bid for a windshield. Chris Brown says anything is possible at the booth, so it’s definitely a place and program you will want to check out at the expo. Who knows, maybe they’ll even do a live auction; you’ll just have to go see.
