Gear Review: Mustang Survival Traction Conductive Glove

What is it?

Mustang Survival Traction Conductive Glove

What sets it apart?

A lightweight, full-finger design, the Conductive Glove provides comfort and warmth without the bulky incumbrance. Torque testing has shown that AX G Series Suede with Silicon coating yields significant grip improvement — a key factor for fighting big fish in cold, perhaps, damp conditions. One of this glove’s key features is the Fit Connect design of the thumb and forefinger, which allows touch screen compatibility on thumb and index finger.

How do I use it?

One of this glove’s most user-friendly elements is the hook-and-loop fastener, which enables you to snug it to your wrist and shut out any cold or moisture that might sneak around your jacket cuff. The fastener is reinforced with a sturdy tab stitched into the glove. Available in small, medium, large and extra large sizes, the Conductive Glove comes in gray/fluorescent yellow green or grey/red styles.

Angler’s insight:

I like the loop at the bottom of the palm side, which enables you to quickly snug fingers in place for a snug fit. I also like the combination of warmth and lightweight design, something that often seems like a one-or-the-other proposition. Dimensions are well-considered, as the glove’s cuff does not conflict with even a larger profile wrist watch. The ability to use a cellphone and operate electronics without exposing fingers to icy condition gets a big thumbs-up.
