Skeet Reese's runner-up finish propelled him past Kevin VanDam and into the lead in the Angler of the Year standings.
With the2007 Elite Series season entering the stretch run, anglers can start looking more clearly at their place in the Angler of the Year standings.
"Every day's different with these smallmouths," said Cook. "We had a bunch of big fish follow the bait today. It's just that their attitude wasn't very good today."

No one-trick pony, Lampier weighed in 14-7 worth of largemouths out of the Ticonderoga grass beds on Day One, but nearly duplicated it with the brown fish on Day Two.
Horton admitted earlier on stage that he had caught many hefty fish among his 24-pound, 12-ounce limit. He hoped out loud that he hadn't "burned" too many of them.
