The Harris Chain also hosted the Bassmaster Opens first event of the year in 2017. Young angler Jesse Wiggins claimed the pro victory with a total weight of 59 pounds, 4 ounces.

The pros and cos came to Oneida Lake for a Northern Open stop in 2017. Stanley Sypeck caught a bag of more than 20 pounds on Day 3 to bring home the trophy with a total of 55 pounds, 8 ounces.

Toledo Bend Reservoir has hosted dozens of high-level B.A.S.S. tournaments over the years. The 2017 Bassmaster Elite Series visit was won by John Murray with a four-day total of 77-10. KVD also surged for a victory on the fishery in 2016 with an impressive 96-pound, 2-ounce four-day limit. Jacob Powroznik won his first Elite Series event there in 2014.
