Keep your most-used terminal tackle stuck to your plastic boat’s sidewalls in a couple of waterproof tackle trays. A pack of heavy-duty Velcro and some alcohol for prepping surfaces are all you need for this simple project that saves you from rooting around in your crate for the tackle you use most often. I attached two Ultimate Tuff Tainers from Flambeau: a small 3012 for Ned rig/swimbait heads and a mid-size 4005 model with terminal tackle for rigs from punch to drop shot.

Remove any protrusions on the trays that might interfere with a solid Velcro connection. A Dremel quickly removed four near the corners of the small 3012 Tuff Tainer.

Clean the surfaces well with alcohol. Join two Velcro pieces, peel the protective tape off one and stick this Velcro sandwich in the middle of one tray.

Peel the other piece of tape off and stick your second tray to it.

Choose your mounting location in front of your seat and make sure the trays won’t interfere with the pedals. Repeat the process with the Velcro, sticking the material sandwiched together in the middle of your tray, then sticking the two trays where you want them on your sidewall.
