Midwest High School registration

Young anglers from around the country have gathered in Osage Beach, Missouri for the Costa Bassmaster High School Midwest Open presented by DICK’s Sporting Goods. Registration for the tournament was held April 1, and it’s no fooling, everyone is excited about fishing on the Lake of the Ozarks, which is one of the most productive bass fisheries in America. Action for the high schools crowd takes place Sunday, but there were bass boats like this one zipping across the 54,000-acre lake all day long on Saturday. There are thousands of camps and docks all around the lake, as you can see in the background of this photo taken just before registration.
