Get Hooked on Fishing visits Atlanta

Get Hooked On Fishing presented by Toyota and Shakespeare Sunday gave hundreds of children in metro Atlanta, many of whom had never held a rod and reel before, a chance to celebrate Dia De Los Niños (Kid's Day) by practicing their casting skills and fishing for catfish.

The event venue, Plaza Fiesta, is one part strip mall and one part cultural event center for Georgia's Hispanic community, featuring authentic food, shops and cultural activities. In addition to B.A.S.S. staff, kids received guidance from Georgia B.A.S.S. Nation High School anglers Dawson Stripling and Marshall Williams, who volunteered side by side with Shakespeare team members at the fishing pond and theToyota Casting Kids station.
