I followed the Day 2 leaders about 25 minutes up the Coosa River and I arrived at the same time, but their first cast yielded a keeper and it was in the livewell in under 30 seconds of fishing.

Butts and Conner had a limit by 6:15 a.m. on Day 2, which was a feat because that is just 45 minutes after launch and 25 minutes was spent driving to their area.

Butts isn't shocked by the bright lights and high pressure as he is a previous winner of a College Series Wild Card. He did so in 2015 at Lake Barkley.
