Team New York was one of the first to register on Tuesday for the Academy Sports + Outdoors B.A.S.S. Nation Eastern Regional presented by Magellan Outdoors. In all, 18 states are represented with 346 anglers set to compete beginning Wednesday on Winyah Bay, the Pee Dee River Basin and the North and South Santee River Basin. The state with the heaviest cumulative weight caught by 10 boaters and 10 non-boaters on Wednesday and Thursday will win the team portion of the tournament. The top 34 anglers within the money line, as well as the top 3 boaters and non-boaters from each state (if not already within the money line) will compete Friday for individual championships. In addition, the top boater and non-boater from each state will advance to the Academy Sports + Outdoors B.A.S.S. Nation Championship to held on an undetermined fishery and date.
