Finally Matt is on the board. He lost one the same size on the cast before.

Alton Jones weighs a 3 pound 4 ounce fish to fill out his limit. Now he’s searching for a big bedding fish to upgrade his bag.

Wheeler is still pounding the water off-shore while the waves and wind are pounding the boat … keeping the bilge pump busy. He has shown nothing but tenacity while marking fish and fighting the elements.

Hite puts number 3 in the boat. Been a grind so far this morning. Hopefully fixing to pick up.

No. 4 for Faircloth

Wheeler is back out, off-shore with only one more squeaker so far…still in search of a few big bites.

Alton Jones calls it!!! As he’s getting ready to make a cast, he says he is going to catch one that weighs 2 pounds and 7 ounces. And he does! Turns out it was a fish he caught and released during practice and he knew right where it would be.

Alton Jones picks up his 3rd keeper in the last 15 minutes. All out of the same small pocket. He thinks the fish are all on beds but with the conditions, he can’t see them.

Wheeler started offshore … moved around without success. He’s now moved shallow to try and find the right bite … as of finishing this post he put one small fish in the box.

3 for Faircloth.

Matt Lee is having a slow morning with no bites. He said his last three mornings have started off with a few fish on the early bite.

Today greeted the anglers with significantly higher winds…20 minutes to take-off, flags are standing straight out. Rough on the “Bay” may be an understatement…certainly will affect those needing to sight fish.

The wind is blowing and the boys are getting ready to bust them today!
