See the 2027 Turtlebox Bassmaster Opens playing fields as anglers will compete in a two-division format.

The Bassmaster Opens have long served as a proving ground for aspiring professional anglers, providing competitors a pathway toward the highest levels of tournament bass fishing. The 2027 schedule will test anglers across a variety of fisheries, from Southern reservoirs and grass-filled lakes to Northern smallmouth waters. The Opens will once again provide competitors a route toward the Nitro Boats Bassmaster Elite Qualifiers presented by Bass Pro Shops and ultimately the Progressive Bassmaster Elite Series.
Sam Rayburn Reservoir – Jan. 14-16 – Brookeland, TX
Division 2
NO FFS
The season starts on this Texas fish factory, where this year Pake South won with the biggest three-day weight of 96-15. In 2027, it will be different as the Opens visit a month earlier and FFS will not be in play.
Harris Chain, Jan. 28-30 – Leesburg, FL
Division 1

NO FFS
Division 1 gets underway on a legendary Florida fishery that will be heavily dictated by potential early-season cold fronts.
Lay Lake, Feb. 25-27 – Columbiana, AL
Division 2
FFS
The first FFS event takes place on Lay Lake in central Alabama that has long been a proven tournament destination. Located on the Coosa River, anglers will be greeted by aggressive but pressured largemouth and spotted bass.
Lake Guntersville, April 1st-3rd – Scottsboro, AL
Division 1
FFS
Gunterville in April will be primed for big bass and big weights to take the title on the famous Tennessee River impoundment.
Table Rock, April 29-May 1 – Branson, MO
Division 2
NO FFS
The schedule turns to the state of Missouri in the first week of April. Deep, clear water with countless creeks and arms will challenge anglers with the second no FFS tournament of Division 2.
Douglas Lake, May 26-28 – Dandridge, TN
Division 1
NO FFS
Division 1 then takes on an eastern Tennessee reservoir in Douglas Lake. This will also be a non-FFS event for late spring/early summer patterns.
St. Mary’s River, June 23-25 – Sault Site Marie, MI
Division 2
FFS
The schedule turns north for its final two events, including a historic first for B.A.S.S. The June 23-25 event on the St. Marys River in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., will mark the first time B.A.S.S. has held a tournament on the St. Marys River. The Division 2 season finale will give Opens anglers an opportunity to compete on the expansive Northern fishery and target the smallmouth bass for which the region is known.
Oneida Lake, August 26-28 – Syracuse, NY
Division 1
FFS
Division 1 will close the 2027 regular season Aug. 26-28 on Oneida Lake in Syracuse, N.Y. The event will give anglers one final opportunity to make their move in the standings on a fishery offering both largemouth and smallmouth bass opportunities.
