BassTrakk lighting up at St. Lawrence

We are over midway through the first day of the St. Croix Bassmaster Open at St. Lawrence River and the top of the BassTrakk standings are impressive. At 11:30 a.m. ET, Jody White was leading the way with 24 pounds, 0 ounces unofficially.

Elite Qualifier young guns Logan Parks and JT Thompkins follow with 22-0 each and Chris Beaudrie has landed 21-8. Then there’s Elite Series pro and smallmouth hammer Cory Johnston in fifth with 20-10 and Canadian stick and EQ angler Jamie Bruce has moved to sixth with 20-8. Rich Ortiz has recorded 20-7 on Basstrakk, the seventh angler who has 20 pounds.

And those are just the anglers who have reported their catches. In a field of 212, only 50 anglers have recorded their catch in BassTrakk, so there could be some secret megabags revealed on stage later today.

Weigh-in will begin at 2 p.m. ET from Whitaker Park in Waddington and can be viewed live on Bassmaster.com.
