Wil Hardy of Georgia was sitting atop the leaderboard in one of the tournament races. There is the river race where aluminum boats and daring anglers are competing and then the rest of the field that is fishing what seems a different event.
Hardy was third after Day 1 because of his 15-7 limit and has two small keepers thus far on Day 2. There will undoubtedly be numerous river rats in the Top 12, but for those concentrated on the lake section of Douglas Lake we will see if they can keep up.
Nothing is coming easy this week and although the weights seemed better from the river, one misstep and your tournament (and boat) could be ruined by the East Tennessee chunk rock.
