Greer, S.C. – Chris Wells – The Bass Chaplain – has been in the ministry for most of his adult life. Many years ago, Wells felt the calling to begin ministering to men and women of the outdoors. Being an outdoorsman himself, Wells was able to deliver God’s Word in a way that hunters and anglers could relate to. Well Spoken Ministries was born from that connections.
For the past several years, Wells has taken his ministry on the road to minister to the anglers of the Bassmaster Elite Series and their families through the weekly Fellowship of Christian Angler Society (FOCAS) meeting held one evening during practice. In 2018, the ministry was given the opportunity to do a fundraiser by doing a raffle with a 2018 Nitro Z18 Bass Boat.
The drawing is approaching, and on Dec. 1, 2018, someone who made a $100 purchase of a ticket will earn the keys to this beautiful Nitro Z18 powered by Mercury ProXS 175 , Minn Kota trolling motor, two Lowrance Depth Finders with Structure Scan. two 8-foot Power-Poles and a Hotfoot.
The drawing will be held at the Bass Pro Shops Charlotte and will be live streamed (winner need not be present).
Wells said that his heart is to be there for the anglers and their families, and this drawing will enable him the chance to continue to fulfill God’s calling on his life. “The Fellowship of Christian Anglers Society is a non-denominational meeting for the B.A.S.S. pros, marshals, staff and anyone else who wants the encouragement of God’s Word," he said. “We seek to study scripture and come together in Christian fellowship, and I feel a real burden to support these people as they pursue their careers; it is an honor to do so, and I look forward to being there at every event. This raffle will help continue to fund the ministry, and we appreciate the consideration.”
The anglers appreciate the grounding and support on the road. Bassmaster Elite Series pro Clifford Pirch, from Payson, Ariz., said that the anglers know his servant’s heart. “Chris has been a great encourager for us on the Elite Series since before I got here and is an important part of our endeavors,” said Pirch. “He's always available when we are facing some of life's hardest challenges, and not to mention presenting timely, relevant messages at each FOCAS meeting. He does these things without asking for anything in return. I hope he is able to continue to be an Elite asset for years to come.”
With each ticket purchase your participation will help Well Spoken Ministries continue to serve the Kingdom by being there for these families that make professional fishing their careers, and outdoorsmen and women across the country.
