Welcome to the new Bassmaster.com!

Regular visitors to Bassmaster.com may notice a few differences today. That’s because we launched a brand-new website with a slew of new features fans should love.

Why now? The technology that runs Bassmaster.com had gotten dated; in fact, it will expire this coming Fall. So, we needed the latest technology, and in the process, we took the time to make the site better. The changes you may notice right away are the design is cleaned up and simplified. Here are a few more updates worth noting:

• The new site design prioritizes the mobile experience. Fans that visit the site on their phones or tablets should have a much better experience. The mobile site will be easier and more intuitive to navigate.

• The site and the pages within it now have lightning-fast load times. The pages now load five times faster than the old site. No more slow page loads. Which gives you more time to fish!

• During Elite tournaments and the Classic, the LIVE Show will play at the top of the BassTrakk page. And during the weigh-ins the live video of the weigh-in will play at the top of the Leaderboard page. We wanted to give fans a more efficient experience where they will have less clicking around to find what they want.

• The new tournament schedule page now gives you the opportunity to sort by each Bassmaster series. That’s a feature fans have been asking about for a while.

• On the angler main page, you can now sort by series, state, and individual anglers.

• On the Angler of the Year page, you can now click on individual Elite anglers and see recent videos for that person, and their finishes for recent tournaments.

• The main video page has been cleaned up and simplified, giving fans a more Netflix-like experience.

• We changed the title of the How-To section to Pro Tips with the thinking that many of our tips are from professional anglers. And even when they are not from pros the videos are from typically from Bassmaster editors who also know a thing or two about fishing.

• Behind-the-scenes the new content management system is 50 percent faster for our web editors to publish videos, articles and photos. Which means you’ll get all the latest information more quickly.

I want to give a big shout-out to our Product Manager Chris Mitchell for doggedly pursuing excellence with the new site. He stayed focused on building the new site while the rest of us were working on the Classic and the first two Elite tournaments. Phil Lawless and Kyle Jessie were also key players in transitioning to the new site. And our partner Alley did a great job throughout, beginning in August 2021.

Now that the new site is live, we’ll have a few weeks of cleaning up small issues. Know that we are hard at work on giving you the very best bass fishing website!
