Simcoe bass benefit from 150-tree drop

Ontario's Barrie Bassmasters members dropped approximately 150 Christmas trees into Lake Simcoe in 2011 in an effort to improve the fish habitat. The trees are leftovers collected from a local tree farm. The club works in conjunction with Junior Bassmaster anglers, in addition to a local college that provides a barge and a local business that supplies cinder blocks.

In all, 17 volunteers donated a combined 170 man-hours of their time to complete the project.
