Pros pick Bassmaster American

2006 major series american

Marty Stone, Linden, N.C.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "Jason Quinn because he's got more history on this lake than anybody. I would probably say Iaconelli because he had a really good Classic one day and then blew up. It is really unusual for him to do that two days in a row. I tell you the sleeper would be Aaron Martens. He's off-centered enough that he can probably make the tough bite work. He will cry and complain the whole time but he'll figure something out."

 Aaron Martens, Leeds, Ala.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "This is a good tournament for (Mike) Iaconelli. He calls it trash fishing but I call it creative fishing. Using 15 to 20 rods on the deck and working them all. I like to pick Kevin (VanDam) and Gary Klein because I know they are fishing the way I'm fishing for them."

 Scott Rook, Little Rock, Ark.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "I don't have a clue. Kevin VanDam is always a threat, any place you go. Summertime, the fish should be out, I'm not really finding them but I'm sure Kevin will. Other than that, I really don't know. This place is fishing really weird. It's hard to get a bite and then when you do you can't duplicate it and can't get any kind of pattern going. I've never fished here and don't know what to expect. One guy I can pick is VanDam, but three guys, I really don't know."

 Kenyon Hill, Norman, Okla.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "Obviously Jason Quinn because besides being a very talented angler he knows this lake. Probably Kelly Jordan and Takahiro (Omori) because both of those guys have a good history on this lake."

 Mark Tyler, Concord, Calif.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "Aaron Martens, he is a wizard at summertime fishing and I don't know why but he is. (Michael) Iaconelli because if you spend as much time on the water in practice as he does you're bound to find fish somewhere. I'm going to go with me on the last one because I'm on a nice hot streak."

 Brian Snowden, Reeds Spring, Mo.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "Jason Quinn because of the lake knowledge. I'm going to have to say Matt Reed because he's been fluent and catching fish. Another one would be Edwin Evers because he's been really solid."

 Greg Hackney, Gonzales, La.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "I think (Dave) Wolak because he seems pretty good on this type of lake, deep water and boat docks. (Kevin) VanDam because you always have to watch out for him. Last, I would probably pick myself because I'm looking for a comeback after the last two. The fishing is so-so, but I think this is going to be a so-so tournament."

 John Crews, Salem, Va.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "Jason Quinn because this is the Jason Quinn benefit tournament. Myself because I always pick myself, but I've figured out two things and if one of them works things could go really well. Marty Stone because he did well in the Classic here and he fishes well this time of year and is starting to come around."

 Kelly Jordan, Mineola, Texas

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "Jason Quinn is number one so we hope that everybody will follow him and knock him out of there. Number two would be Aaron Martens because, yea. This is all besides myself of course so (Kevin) VanDam is number three, but I'm picking me as the darkhorse."

 Kevin VanDam, Kalamazoo, Mich.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "Jason Quinn obviously because he knows the water. Davy Hite because he is really good at these types of lakes at this time of year, and he lives fairly close. I would also say Kota Kiriyama because he is a really good drop-shotter."

 Dean Rojas, Lake Havasu, Ariz.

Who are three guys to watch out for in this tournament and why? "I think Aaron Martens would be a good one because he is a great deep water fisherman. I think Denny Brauer and Tommy Biffle too because the areas of the lake we can fish sort of fit their style."
