Profile: The Top Stick Tournament Series

Year founded: 2007

Mission statement: The Top Stick Tournament Series is an entry-level tournament circuit meant for the average Joe, weekend fishermen and family members. This series is meant to help cultivate the club-level angler wanting to move up without donating to the same four or five teams every event. We welcome seasoned anglers to help the level of competition but do not want to encourage guides or pro-level anglers to participate.

Geographic region covered: Southern California

Best lake or lakes visited: Pyramid Lake

Average turnout per tournament: 45 boats

Contact: John Barron, 909-263-7185

Also: Despite the amateurs-only mantra of the club, all are welcome in the trail’s Open tournaments.
