One Last Hurrah

The Bassmaster Elite Series season is just one event away from BASS' first-ever postseason. For the pros, that means one last chance to climb into the Top 12 and qualify to fish the two postseason events or one last chance to fight their way into the top 37 and a Bassmaster Classic berth in 2010.

Published by Anglers Who Care

The sign above Todd Larson's desk reads "Respect the author." It's his takeaway from years as a published academician who was sometimes disrespected by the publishing houses that printed his work.

Short sighted

Kevin Short comes up big to win his first elite series at the 2009 River Rumble.

Just call me ‘Kat’

It has been said that 90 percent of what we think about a person is determined in the first 90 seconds we meet them. When I first met Kathryn Ealey at the 2008 Bassmaster Classic in Greenville, S.C., I could tell by her firm handshake and warm smile that she was a confident woman who knew what she wanted out of life. I was anxious to learn more about this new pro angler from Moody, Ala.

The One that Got Away

While every angler has at least one that has gotten away, as pros we have a bunch. Some have deeper reaching consequences than others, and some stick out more than others. This one haunts me to this day.

Train wreck

In this article you will see the 2009 elite series River Rumble, where you will see Kevin VanDam, Skeet Reese and Alton Jones fight for top spots.

Faircloth in the running again

Todd Faircloth is an enigma of sorts when it comes to the top names competing on the Bassmaster Elite Series even more so when it comes to those vying for the top-12 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year playoff.

My biggest fan

I can't say there is one trip or event that sticks out as extra special. My father's dedication and commitment to me and my goals are what is meaningful. I really owe my whole career to his encouragement and support. He was and still is instrumental in my having attained this much.
