Oregon club placed 155 artificial habitats

The Central Oregon Bass Club completed three habitat improvement projects in 2011, a spring, summer and fall spider block project.

The Central Oregon Bass Club placed more than 150 spider blocks in Oregon reservoirs over the course of 2011.

The group of volunteers constructed 55 spider block structures and placed them in Prineville Reservoir in the spring. In summer, they constructed 50 more spider black habitats, and within three days, loaded them into the reservoir.

Three members of the Central Oregon Bass Club also traveled to Willow Valley Reservoir in fall to help Oregon Department of Fish Wildlife and local club members build and place 50 spider blocks.

Total construction and placement time was 183 man-hours.
