Chris Lane and Jarvis Ellis have won the first Luck “E” Strike Heavyweight Awards.
The new bonus program rewards the pro and co-angler with the largest bags of a tournament within their divisions. Each prize is a $250 Bass Pro Shops gift certificate.
Lane, the Bassmaster Elite Series pro from Guntersville, Ala., bagged 28 pounds and 5 ounces on Day 3 of the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Southern Open on Florida’s Harris Chain of Lakes.
Ellis, a co-angler from Albany, Ga., won a bonus for his three-fish-limit catch of 14-3 on Day 2.
The bonus program sponsored by lure maker Luck “E” Strike will continue throughout the Open season, which encompasses three events in each of three divisions, Southern, Central and Northern.
