In March of 2015, the team at Evolution Fishing launched their premiere line of tackle trays – Ballistix. The team of avid fisherman recognized the true demands of tackle storage that we’re not being met. The team recognized three primary issues: Water Intrusion, Rust, and long-term durability.
In developing these trays, specific engineering practices we’re put in place to create the necessary improvements. To ensure a true waterproof seal, internal supports were utilized to hold interior walls in line and a custom single compression latch, were balanced evenly to create a consistent alignment of the waterproof gasket between the lid and body.
Having their fair share of rusted boxes, the team developed a proprietary rust preventive formula coined “X-RUST MAX.” This material is injected into the base and dividers of each tray to ensure proper saturation. The team went as far as testing the precise amount that can be injected while maintaining extreme durability. Finally, the outer construction of the Ballistix trays features bulked corners and a stainless-steel hinge ensuring that accidental fall is nothing to sweat over.
Each model of Ballistix tray takes the same baseline features, while adapting to a specific technique. Crankbaits, Jerkbaits, Spinnerbaits, and Terminal Tackle are just the start.
Launching in the Spring of 2027 the revolutionary Ballistix Jig Lockr will release. Solving common issues like bent weed guards, skirt deterioration, and cleaning up the mess of jumbled up jigs, the Jig Lockr takes the same attention to detail that distinguished the Ballistix line.
“We’ve always strived to solve a real problem with every product we make – the Ballistix line is the embodiment of that mentality” said Reece Martin, Director of Marketing. “The resounding feedback we’ve received has only validated our direction to continue to innovate and create the tackle management solutions anglers have been asking for”
