The Bassmaster Elite Series of fishing tournaments will return to the Twin Lakes Area in April, according to Kelley Linck, executive director of the Ozark Mountain Tourism Region.
Linck said Bassmaster anglers will fish the third leg of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) Elite Series April 19-22 on Bull Shoals Lake. He told The Bulletin that he was to meet with Bassmaster event planners to inspect and discuss potential staging sites for the tournament.
Linck said the economic impact of the weekend that will draw thousands of visitors to the Twin Lakes Area is just the beginning of the dividends the tournament will pay.
“Here’s what we will get from a tournament: We get anglers at home saying, ‘I saw that B.A.S.S. tournament on Bull Shoals on television. I’m going to fish that lake.'”
