Three season smallmouth with Seth Feider

Seth Feider can catch smallmouth. This Bassmaster Elite Series pro from Minnesota crippled the competition at the recent Toyota Bass- master Angler of the Year event on Mille Lacs Lake with a stunning 25-pound average across the three day event. The Elite Series doesn’t typically fish inland as far north as the 46th parallel, and B.A.S.S. members were treated to one of America’s most prolific fish factories. The lake is packed with oil-rich bait like the cisco, meaty perch and the usual fare of crawfish, leeches and various minnows. Feider showed the world just how large the smallmouth there can get.

His hard-won smallmouth knowledge is a boon to Northern anglers wanting to know more about how to catch these bronze-splattered specimens. Fresh off his victory at Mille Lacs, Feider shares his three-season strategy for dialing in the smallmouth bite on natural lakes.
