2022 Bassmaster High School All-American weekend

This past weekend, the 2022 class of Bassmaster High School All-Americans presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors were celebrated in many different ways. They kicked off the weekend by hosting a fishing clinic for a local Boys and Girls Club at Academy Sports + Outdoors. A banquet was held in their honor and they were able to participate in a shopping spree with an Elite Series pro where they bought tackle to use the next day. On Saturday, each High School All-American was paired up with a Bassmaster Elite Series pro where they participated in an exhibition tournament on Lake Quitman. Braxton Hopper and Justin Hamner won the tournament with an impressive 15 pounds, 14 ounces. The All-American’s weekend wrapped up when they had the opportunity to walk across the Bassmaster Elite weigh-in stage and experience what it is like to walk in the shoes of the Elite Series pros. It was a great time had by all.
