“This is a unique new minnow-style system from Z-Man. You actually run the line through the top of the head and the line tie is under the chin. This lets your bait always run true and straight,” said Feider.

“This is a pretty killer little Ned rig bait or even on a drop shot. It is going to have a little more action than a standard TRD and like all ElazTech baits, it’s going to float,” said Feider. “It will stand straight up on a Ned rig and hover perfectly horizontal on a drop shot.”

“This bait has a wedge-style tail that puts off a good bit of vibration. You can fish this on a drop shot or a light jighead fished like a swimbait,” according to Feider. “For me, it’s mostly a drop-shot bait. This will be a great bait for drift fishing like we do on the St. Lawrence River because of that action the tail gives off.”

“The Shadtron has a wedge style tail kind of like a Huddleston. This will be great for slow rolling or fishing fast,” said Feider. “It comes in a 4 1/2- and 6-inch profiles to imitate threadfin and gizzard shad respectably.

“It has a really similar action to the JackHammer but with a different sound,” said Feider. “The tungsten head gives it a different vibration.”

“Anywhere in the North this has been a killer for me on a flip shot with 15- or 17-pound line,” said Feider. “I throw it a lot of the same places I throw a jig or a Texas rig. It’s my cleanup bait when I find a group of fish in grass or on a rockpile.”

“This is a killer bait on a drop shot or a jighead. I really like it on a drop shot because it lets me throw a bigger hook,” said Feider. “I don’t have to nose hook it with a small hook. This was the same setup I was using in the Open on Lake St. Clair.”
