WHAT SETS IT APART?

A heavier version of Owner’s light wire Cover Shot. A little stouter to handle bigger fish, bigger baits and heavy cover. Ideal for versatile uses including drop shot and Texas rigging. The bait keeper is meticulously wrapped onto the shank to prevent the keeper from sliding or spinning. The monofilament keeper allows soft, supple baits to be threaded over it without damage, yet still holds extremely well once on the other side. Comes with Super Needle Point and Silky Gray frictionless finish.

HOW DO I USE IT?

The Cover Shot HD is offered in five different sizes: 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, 5/0. This allows anglers to fish a variety of different size baits with this hook. It is designed for drop-shot and Texas-rig fishing when bigger baits and tackle are necessary.

ANGLER INSIGHT:

The Original Cover Shot is the drop-shot hook for many anglers including myself. The HD version is beefed up and has many applications. One of my favorite uses for this hook is using the 3/0 or 4/0 and throwing a bigger worm such as a Zoom Mag 2 or a 7-inch Fat Roboworm on a Texas rig or free rig with casting tackle. The stouter gauge wire allows anglers to fish this hook on heavier casting tackle and not worry about the hook flexing out when giving fish the business. I wouldn’t be afraid to use this hook flipping and pitching lighter cover with a lighter flipping setup and smaller plastic. Its silk gray frictionless finish allows for the same great hook penetration as the original Cover Shot but now with the versatility to fish in heavier cover.
