The new Lew’s Custom Pro reel features hard aluminum Speed Gears with P2 Super Pinion bearing supported pinion gear and a premium 11-bearing system with double shielded stainless steel ball bearings and a carbon fiber drag system with 20 pounds of drag power. The lightweight and durable aircraft-grade double anodized Duralumin drilled U-shaped spool with Speed Knot line attachment feature pairs with a bowed 95mm carbon fiber handle with Lew’s Pro Power knobs for increased leverage and comfort.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Lew’s encloses a sleek compact design including a 30mm spool within an eye-catching, one-piece aluminum frame. Central to this reel’s design is the new Paramag iTB braking system, which maintains spool balance with silent, friction-free braking. An inertia-driven system automatically deploys and retracts for ultimate cast control, while auto adjust braking throughout the cast promotes casting efficiency and prevents backlashing. Applying the correct amount of pressure at the right time in proportion to casting speed, the Custom Pro reel virtually eliminates the need for spool thumbing.

Lew’s did a nice job of complementing this reel’s gearings with user-friendly features such as the exclusive patented titanium-coated zirconia two-stage line guide, which helps extend casting distance, a Speed Dial line indicator (attached to the spool tension knob, this dial lets the user mark the type/size line), and Speed Keeper hook keeper. Building models to address a broad range of fishing techniques, Lew’s offers a 6.8:1 reel with a 25-inch recovery per turn rate, a 7.5:1 (28 inches), and an 8.3:1 (31 inches).
