WHAT IS IT?
Huk Pro Series Rain Gear
WHAT SETS IT APART?
Nothing stops a fishing trip faster than being cold and wet. Raingear is a must-have for any angler or outdoorsman. A high-performance rainsuit is invaluable for those who fish in all types of weather, and the Huk Pro Series delivers the comfort and performance to keep you on the water all day.
So, what sets the Pro Series apart? Huk leaves no detail untouched to ensure you stay dry and comfortable. First, it features a balanced 30K waterproof / 15K breathable rating that keeps water out while allowing moisture to escape. Breathability is nearly as important as waterproofing, especially during long days of reeling them in.
The design ensures water can’t slip through the cracks. All the “cracks,” namely the zippers and seams, are fully sealed to keep moisture out. The jacket features internal sleeve cuffs that cinch down to prevent water from running down your arms from wet hands or a dripping reel. This adjustable cuff is a game changer for staying dry.

On the bib side, even the smallest details are well thought out. The straps pivot when clipped in for added comfort and to prevent bunching. Storage is plentiful, including two large fold-over pockets on the legs for keeping bigger items dry. There’s also a reinforced plier pocket designed to prevent tools from poking through. The jacket pockets are perfectly placed and comfortable for your hands.
Looking at the construction, the suit is made from Toray 3L stretch nylon, offering both flexibility and durability. This allows the gear to move with your body without getting stiff, while still holding up over time. It’s the ideal balance of comfort and toughness, exactly what serious anglers need from premium gear.

HOW DO I USE IT?
I’ve fished long enough to experience just about every condition, and I’ve seen both the good and bad when it comes to raingear. Every brand claims waterproof performance, but a 12-hour day in a downpour is the real test. It’s not just about the material, it’s about the design details. Because if water can find a way in, it will.
The Huk Pro Series passes that test.
The first thing I noticed was how high the bibs come up on the chest. This adds extra protection to your core and helps block wind, even when you’re only wearing the bibs. It also prevents rain from seeping in from the top.
Both the bibs and jacket are extremely flexible and comfortable, without restricting movement. Full range of motion is critical when casting and fighting fish, and the Pro Series delivers.
Another standout feature is the extra-long zipper on the pant legs, which allows you to put the bibs on or take them off without removing your shoes. Many brands include this feature, but few make it long enough to truly matter.

The internal jacket cuffs kept my sleeves completely dry and are adjustable with Velcro for a secure fit. This is one of those small features that makes a big difference, especially when dealing with water running off your reel.
All other openings can be quickly adjusted using an internal cord-and-button system. Simply pull to cinch areas like the hood, neck and waist, and press the button to release. The hood features a three-point adjustment for a secure fit, along with a built-in hat clip to keep everything in place while running across the lake. A small vented gap allows air to escape at high speeds, preventing the hood from ballooning without compromising waterproof performance.
HOW MUCH?
$500 (jacket), $500 (bibs)

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
While $1,000 is a significant investment, the Huk Pro Series is worth every penny for serious anglers. Staying dry and comfortable on the water is critical, and this gear delivers without sacrificing mobility. It’s the most comfortable raingear I’ve worn as it stretches naturally with your body and stays flexible all day long. Most importantly, it keeps you dry in any conditions Mother Nature throws your way. With gear like this, there’s no reason to miss a hot bite just because of the rain.
