WHAT IS IT?
Gamakatsu One Touch Blade
WHAT SETS IT APART?
Gamakatsu’s new accessories are available in two designs — the One Touch Treble and the One Touch Blade — both offered in gold or nickel willowleaf and Colorado blade options. The One Touch Treble includes an open wire loop above the blade, which passes through the treble hook eye and lays against the shank with the blade suspended below the hook bends. The upper of two glow beads positioned between the loop and the blade snugs against the loop’s bottom to secure the connection. Use the One Touch Blade to enhance a spinnerbait or buzzbait’s fixed hook by running the hook through the integrated glow cap. Option: Remove the glow cap to expose a snap swivel that attaches to a lure’s eye. Multiple sizes available to fit various treble sizes.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Sometimes, bass feed by sight, sometimes they locate their meals through vibration. Often, it’s the combination of sensory stimuli that allows fish to fill their bellies. In any case, Gamakatsu recently introduced the One Touch accents, which appeal to a predator’s eyes and lateral line. These easily attached blades are designed to accent treble and single hooks and tempt fish in cases of diminished visibility as well as highly pressured waters and other challenging scenarios.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
Bass anglers figure out novel applications for every new development, so Gamakatsu’s One Touch accessories likely will stimulate much creativity. A JDM product recently introduced to the U.S. market, these flash and vibration makers seem well-suited for a couple of obvious starting points. First, flash and dazzle clearly speak to the shad spawn. Elsewhere, when bass focus on tiny river minnows or young of the year shad, a little flashy-flashy can be a deal closer.
