Starting with an ultra-sharp Black Nickel treble hook, the Urchin Treble Weight System is designed to offer anglers maximum versatility in adapting to various conditions and fish behavior, while fitting all three sizes of the Davis Urchins (13, 17 and 23mm). First, the system is offered with 1/0, 2/0, 3/0 and 4/0 treble hooks. Weight options are 1/8-ounce, which is a single collar design, and 3/16-ounce, offered in single or double collars. Switching among these variables allows the angler to vary the bait’s fall rate without significantly changing their rigging style.

The Davis Bait Company Urchin Treble Weight System will remind you of a jig rattle collar, but instead of noise makers, Davis hangs weights from the silicone attachment. This weighting method allows you to sink the bait without adding anything but the hook to the bait’s body, while keeping the path to a hook set clear and unobstructed.
