Gear Review: Bass Pro Shops Johnny Morris Platinum Signature Spinning

WHAT IS IT?

Bass Pro Shops Johnny Morris Platinum Signature Spinning

WHAT SETS IT APART?

The already popular Platinum Baitcaster now comes in a spinning version with the features you’d expect to find in a premium reel. The reel is built on a one-piece aluminum frame to resist loss of torque while keeping gears in alignment. Lightweight strength is expressed in an ultralight rotor assembly; fitted with a hollow stainless steel bail wire and premium roller for smooth, even oscillation. Forged, double-anodized aluminum spool resists corrosion and is designed to handle all line types. Inside, a Micro-Pitched Gearing System delivers precise meshing, allowing the stainless steel mainshaft, hard zinc drive gear and brass pinion to work together seamlessly. You get a smooth retrieve enhanced by premium 11 bearings (10+1) system, with paired bearings at pinion gear and drive gear. The six-disc performance drag system machined aluminum handle with Soft Touch knob adds to the performance of the reel. Gear ratios: 5.7:1, 6.0:1 Retrieve: Left/right.

HOW DO I USE IT?
