Anchor Bay aerials

Not my most scenic aerial gallery, but this needs to be shared to give you a perspective of where most of the anglers, including those at the top of the leaderboard, are fishing on Lake St. Clair.
This was the scene on the morning of July 28, Day 2 of the AFTCO Bassmaster Elite at Lake St. Clair.
Anchor Bay is an expansive dishbowl-shaped extension of the lake. The “anchor” likely comes from its average depth of 10- to 15 feet, making it ideal for anchoring a boat.
Our photographers counted up to 70 boats when this gallery was taken by me on Friday morning, between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Most of the Top 20 (or more) anglers were here.
I observed them all looking down at their forward-facing sonar, a game-changer in the drop-shot tactic.
You can see the changes in bottom color that identify deeper depressions.
Enjoy the tour. This gives you an aerial view of what our on-the-water team is shooting for their galleries.
