Lake Havasu has been consistent; the anglers, not so much

While anglers have been bouncing up and down the leaderboard this week, Lake Havasu has been remarkably consistent overall. The average bass weighed-in has been right at 2 3/4 pounds every day and the number of 5-bass limits caught hasn't varied much either.

On Day 1, 112 anglers weighed-in 524 bass weighing a total of 1,457-4 pounds, an average of 2.78 lbs. per bass, and 83 percent of the anglers caught limits. Big bass was a 6-7 by Mike Kernan.

On Day 2, 112 anglers weighed-in 524 bass weighing a total of 1,422-5 pounds, an average of 2.71 lbs. per bass, and 86 percent of the anglers caught limits. Big bass was a 5-9 by Brandon Palaniuk.

On Day 3, 52 anglers weighed-in 246 bass weighing a total of 684-5 pounds, an average of 2.78 lbs. per bass, and 88 percent of the anglers caught limits. Big bass was a 5-15 by Justin Lucas.

But, again, there was little consistency in the standings. Of the top 12 anglers entering Day 3, only half made the Top 12 cut at the end of the day. Those who did make it included, Jonathon VanDam, who started the day in 52nd (last place), Dean Rojas, who was 50th, David Williams, who was 46th and Gary Klein, who was 44th.
