I had a wonderful opportunity to ride along with Dave Precht today. If you read his blogs, you heard tales of fantastic fish catches- by birds. It’s true that we brought the worst luck to nearly everyone we followed. I chronicled some of this here, including a unbelievable osprey snatching a crappie out of the water right next to us. But what Dave mentioned but I didn’t include was the amazing sight of a bald eagle swooping down and grabbing some lunch. I didn’t include them in the photo gallery because frankly, they aren’t the best photos. Eagles move pretty fast and this one caught me off-guard. I’ll be ready tomorrow for whatever animal or angler we find.
